We're thrilled to announce two new 2020 Board Members!

With everyone in the organization a volunteer, Scott's Wish relies heavily on the help and generosity of their board members. We were thrilled that two of our longstanding volunteers have agreed to serve on the board. Amy Jones-Dimarco has helped coordinate our registration tent each year at Mardi Paws, as well as going above and beyond to help and work with patients we are helping through our programs. Her husband Dominic DiMarco III always volunteers to work at our events and helps out fundraising in any way he can. We are so lucky to have had their support these past few years and look forward to working with them on the board. Please welcome them!

Donald Burton fundraiser
Please join us as we help raise funds for Donald Burton, a Ponchatoula Police Officer battling Stage 4 recurrent metastatic nasopharyngeal cancer. Donald was diagnosed a year ago with this very rare cancer, and after months of chemotherapy and radiation he was declared cancer free. Sadly, the great news didn't last long and he is now faced with the battle of his life. Scott's Wish helped send him to M D Anderson recently to try and qualify for a clinical trial. While he waits on availability, he has started treatment again back in Hammond with all his kind and caring physicians and healthcare workers that have helped him over the past year. At 43 years of age, and with a loving and close-knit family, Veronica his wife and their ten children and many grandchildren, no one wants to hear this news. All of us at Scott's Wish are just amazed at this remarkable and kind man who never complains and always finds a blessing in the worst of situations. He is also known as Minister Burton under the leadership of his parents Pastor Anthony and Evg. Joyce Cox at their church, Westside C.O.G.I.C. He is very proud to have served his community as a Lieutenant in the Ponchatoula Police Department over the past thirteen years under the leadership of Chief Bry Layrisson. Donald is passionate about health and fitness and has won many bodybuilding titles, including 2016 Mr. Louisiana, and he'll help anyone trying to obtain their health and fitness goals.

Family and Friends,

The Serigne family has felt the love from your prayers and messages throughout Jonathan's fight with cancer. Please continue praying for them in the days and weeks to come, especially for his wife Randi and his two children Jacques and Stella.

Jonathan joined our heavenly Father on October 4th, 2019.

Jonathan Serigne and his wife Randi Rousseau have been ardent supporters of our Scott's Wish fundraiser Mardi Paws each year! Randi has held the mic and Jonathan the dogs and babies, and we are all sending our love to the family.
