TRIBUTES & ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Scott's Wish would like to recognize and pay tribute to many supporters with our boundless gratitude.

The family wishes to thank Mary Ann Prima for her devotion to Scott during his illness. She was his best friend, and we will always be grateful to her. Mary Ann is our first honorary lifetime member.

Ashlyn Verrette provided the official 2009 poster for Scott's Wish, and we wish to thank her for her support. Scott's Wish also would like to thank all family, friends and volunteers for their continued support.

Without the help and donations of gracious supporters, Scott's Wish could not provide assistance to those in need. Denise Gutnisky and Have a Heart Thru Art provided a booth for our fundraising efforts. Special thanks to Wayne Kinchen and Wayne Verrette for their time in preparing the hot food served at the booth.

Wendy Lala ran with the Baton Rouge chapter of 'Team in Training', in Orlando, Florida, which took place one week before Scott passed away. The organization raises money for Leukemia and Lymphoma research. She and Scott thought this effort was very important, and Scott was very proud that she raised the most money for the chapter and went the distance!

Our eternal heartfelt dedication goes to Alec Normand, who lost his battle at nine years of age.

A LETTER FROM HEAVEN

To all my dearest family,
some things I'd like to say-
but first of all, to let you know
that I arrived OK!

I'm writing this from heaven,
where I dwell with God above,
where there's no more tears or sadness,
there is just eternal love.

Please don't be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight;
rmember that I'm with you
every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you
when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me
and he said, "I welcome you.

It's good to have you back again!
You were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family,
they'll be coming later on.

God gave me such a list of things
he wished for me to do,
and foremost on that list of mine-
to watch and care for you.

I will be beside you
every day and week and year,
and when you're sad, I'm standing there
to wipe away each tear.

At day's end, when you lie in bed,
the days chores put to flight,
God and I come closest to you
in the middle of the night.

When you think o fmy life on earth
and all those loving years,
because you are only human,
they are bound to bring you tears.

Do not be afraid to cry,
it does relieve the pain-
remember there would be no flowers
unless there were some rain.

But one thing is for certain-
though my life on Earth is o'er,
I am closer to you now
than I was before.

When you are walking down the street
and you've got me on your mind,
I'm walking in your footsteps,
only half a step behind.

And when you feel that freshing wind
or breeze upon your face,
I'm giving you a great big hug
or just a soft embrace.

And when it's time for you to go,
from that body to be free,
remember you're not going-
you're coming here-to me.

And I will always love you
from that land way up above;
we'll be in touch again quite soon.
P.S. God sends His love.

Scott with his grandfather
Scott and his beloved grandfather
God looked around His garden,
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your weary face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
He saw the road was getting rough,
and the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine".
